【Sixtus Beckmesser】Adrian ERÖD
The Austrian Baritone Adrian Eröd is a great favourite at his base, Wiener Staatsoper, with his tremendous diversity.
His magnificent success with Christian Thielemann as Beckmesser in Wagner’s Meistersinger led to sing the role at the Bayreuther Festspiele as well as in Zurich, Cologne, Leipzig, Tokyo and Amsterdam.
Since his debut 2001 at Wiener Staatsoper Adrian Eröd has been cast in such roles as Guglielmo, Conte Almaviva, Dr. Falke, Albert (Werther) and Olivier (Capriccio). He has also appeared at Teatro La Fenice in Venice, at Staatsoper Hamburg, the Oper Frankfurt, New National Theatre, Tokyo, Opéra National de Paris and the Houston Grand Opera.
Adrian Eröd is also extremely successful on the concert stage. He has appeared with Riccardo Muti and Winer Philharmoniker, with Sir Simon Rattle and Berlin Philharmonischen Orchetervb, with Nikolaus Harnoncourt, with Fabio Luisi, and further at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Vienna Musikverein and Konzerthaus and the Lucerne Festival.
