Naoyuki Akitani graduated from the Kunitachi College of Music. He completed the Nikikai Opera Studio and the Conservatorio di Milano courses. He won the 10th Canzone Concorso. His highly acclaimed performances include Pollione in “Norma”, Ismaele in “Nabucco”, Macduff in “Macbeth”, Il Duca di Mantova in “Rigoletto”, Alfredo in “La Traviata”, Riccardo in “Un Ballo in Maschera”, title role in “Otello”, Canio in “I Pagliacci”, Cavaradossi in “Tosca”, Pinkerton in “Madama Butterfly”, Calaf in “Turandot”. Recent performances include the 2015 NHK Symphony Orchestra Subscription Concert conducted by Charles Dutoit, the 2016 New National Theatre, Tokyo productions of “Salome”, “Die Zauberflöte”, “Lohengrin”. He has performed in the 2017 New National Theatre, Tokyo production of “Der Rosenkavalier”. He sang the national anthem of the Saitama Seibu Lions home opening game. He is a member of the Nikikai Opera Foundation.
