Born is Barcelona. Àlex Ollé is one of the six artistic directors of La Fura dels Baus and his prominent works
from its early period established “La Fura dels Baus” as a top company among both critics and the public. He has
participated in many large-format shows, for example in collaboration with Carlus Padrissa, Ollé created and directed
Mediterrani, mar olímpic, the epicentre of the opening ceremony of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. Recently he is active in the field of opera. He has appeared to the theaters all over the world such as Salzburg Festspiele,Teatro Real in Madrid, Gran Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona, Opéra National de Paris, Royal Opera House London,Sächsische Staatsoper, Nederlandse Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Australia Opera and so on, and directed a wide variety of repertory such as “Die Zauberflöte”, “Norma”, “Il Trovatore”, “La damnation de Faust”, “Tristan und Isolde”, “Pelléas et Mélisande”, “Diary of one who disappeared”.
