【Fritz Kothner】AOYAMA Takashi
Takashi Aoyama graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts. He completed the graduate school from the same university and the New National Theatre, Tokyo Opera Studio program. He was awarded the 19th Gotoh Memorial Cultural Award for Best Newcomer in Opera. He received scholarships from the Agency of Cultural Affairs and the Rohm Music Foundation and studied in Bologna and Milan. He has performed as Morales in the New National Theatre, Tokyo production of Carmen, Scarpia in the New National Theatre, Tokyo’s Educational Programme for High School Students production of Tosca, and Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Renato in the Tokyo Nikikai Opera Foundation production of Un Ballo in Maschera, and the title role of Nabucco, Leporello in Don Giovanni, Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, the Dutchman in the Biwako Hall production of Der fliegende Holländer and Wotan in Das Rheingold and Die Walküre. He is scheduled to perform as The Wanderer in the 2019 Biwako Hall production of Siegfried. He is a member of the Tokyo Nikikai Opera Foundation.
