【Ulrich Eisslinger】OHARA Keiroh

Keiroh Ohara graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts. He completed his doctorate from the graduate school of the same University. He has performed in Yutaka Sado’s production of Carmen, Manrico in the Tokyo Nikikai Opera Foundation production of Il Trovatore, Rodrigo in the New National Theatre, Tokyo productions of Silence, and Casio in Otello, Edmund in the Nissay Theatre production of Lear, Florestan in the ROHM Theatre Kyoto production of Fidelio and his powerful voice has been highly acclaimed. At the same time, he received high praise for his delicate, beautiful delivery of the Japanese lyrics of Yohyo in the New National Theatre, Tokyo production of Yuzuru. His performances as Pinkerton in the 2017 New National Theatre, Tokyo’s Educational Programme for High School Students production of Madama Butterfly and the title role in the Tokyo Nikikai Opera Foundation production of Lohengrin were highly acclaimed. His large repertoire in concerts include Mozart, Beethoven, Verdi, Dvořák, Mahler. He is a member of the Tokyo Nikikai Opera Foundation.
