Takumi Yogi graduated from the Kunitachi College of Music and its graduate school. He studied in Bologna. He won an award in the 71st Music Competition of Japan, and the 42nd Concorso Italo-Giapponese. He won first prize in the 6th Tokyo Music Competition. His opera performances include the role of Roderigo in the 2010 Nikikai Opera production of “Otello”,Gastone de Letorières in the 2013 BIWAKO HALL/Kanagawa Kenmin Hall co-production of “La Traviata”, the title role of the 2014 Tokyo Nikikai Opera production of “Idomeneo”. His highly acclaimed recent performances include the Agency for Cultural Affairs Project to Revitalize Theaters and Concert Halls production of Verdi’s “Otello”, Nikikai Opera production of “Wiener Blut”. BIWAKO HALL productions “Die tote Stadt”, “Rigoletto”, “Das Rheingold”, the New National Theatre, Tokyo production of “Otello”. He has performed in the 2014 and 2015 NHK New Year Opera Concerts. His beautiful voice is the center of attention in various circles. He is a member of the Nikikai Opera Foundation.
